Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born into a musical household on the 9th of August, 1963 in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel star Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and the cousin of singer Dionne Warwick. The singer began her singing career in the choir at the church she attended The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark in the early years of her childhood at the age of 15 was singing backing vocals professionally along with her mother on Chaka Khan's hit song from 1978 Im Every Woman. She sang backing vocals on Lou Rawls, Jermaine jackson and her mom. The quality of her work as the vocalist featured in New York funk group Material caught the eye of big record labels like Arista who she signed her contract in 1982 and continued to work with them for the rest of career. The album she released as her debut Whitney Houston was released in 1985, and was the most-seller album by an artist who was a rookie. The album featured several hits such as How Will I Know You Give Good Love and Saving all My Love For you and The greatest love of all. It helped her achieve seven US chart-topping songs in succession. The album's first US year, the album was sold over 3 million units. It went on to be bought by over 25 million people worldwide and earned her her first Grammy. The Whitney album followed in 1987 and the singles How Do Broken Hearts GO and I Wanna Dance With Somebody helped to expand on the popularity of her debut album. It was, however, the 1992 movie The Bodyguard that solidified her status as a top-selling artist. Although the film and the actress' performance were not much praised, her soundtrack album featuring her rendition of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You was the most popular single in many months. The album sold over 44 million copies across the globe. That same year she married ex-New Edition singer Bobby Brown with whom she had her only child their child Bobbi Kristina Brown. She was born in the month of March 1993. It was about this time that her much documented usage of drugs began. By 1996, she was a regular drug user.
Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN anchorwoman, reporter, and political correspondent. Additionally, she produces a number of show on weekends for the channel that include Evans & Novak Late Edition and Inside Politics. Bash has also worked with other well-known channels, including NBC and CBS. Coming to her distinctions and awards Bash was once placed in Women in Washington Power List' by Elle magazine. She is known for her incredible anchoring and reporting capabilities, she's admired by a lot of young journalists within the industry. This George Washington University graduate is an amazing mother to her one son. She's been had two marriages. She's currently unmarried.
