Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was editor and author along with Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's father is from the Jewish family Ryder thinks she's Jewish. Uria is Ryder's younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are her half-siblings. Ryder's parents relocated her and her siblings in Mendocino County California when Ryder was seven years old. The family resided in an area without electric power. Television books were the only way for Ryder for her time, and she began to read extensively. Ryder started taking classes in acting at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983, when she was 12. Lucas was let go in 1986 and Ryder, then only 15, landed a role as a leading actor. Ryder was bullied at her high school. Ryder believed that her future as an actress could make a difference. However, it didn't happen. But she pushed on with her dream. It was 1988 when Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that was her breakthrough. Ryder played characters that made a splash in several movies. In 1993, Ryder was nominated twice for Academy Awards.
